Graduation!!
Chris graduated on Friday and the family came down to visit. This was the first time that Dad has seen Torin since he was born. Don't they just look so cozy?
With the LOUD announcer at graduation, somehow Dad got Torin to fall asleep in his arms! I can never get Torin to fall asleep unless it is in his crib. I am glad that he slept during the graduation, less stress for me.
We are so proud of Chris for graduating!!!!! Look how happy Torin is for his dad!
Yea!!! Chris and I are both done with school!!! Now we can focus on work and family!!
Grandma Lace brought Torin a present that he had to open before we went out to eat (it was a cover for a highchair or grocery cart) so that we could use it at the restaurant. Torin was so cute opening his first Christmas present!
Now life can begin!

Money
Sometimes money stinks. Especially when you have to give yours to someone else. Chris and I had to get my car fixed and there was a long list of problems with it. This is the amount that I had to pay today. It really hurts to see that my bank account is so small now. :o(
On the other hand, I like it when I can go to a store and buy all these products and pay only $.46. Yes, that's right, $.46!

C'est la vie, I suppose...

The discovery!
Chris, the fighter
I went to see Chris fight for the first time a few days ago. He has been involved in Karate and Judo for a couple years now and it is something that he really enjoys.

Turns out the he is a lot better than I thought he was. Look at those mus-kles!!
Later, when I upload it, I will post the video of his fight.
Christmas Time!
Chris and I put up our Christmas tree last week and realized that we needed something to got on top. A star would have been fine but I could not find one at Walmart that I liked. Guess what I found instead!
Yes, a snowman's head!! Isn't it great?! Here is a close up.
Jasmine and Chester must think that they are Christmas presents!

Sights and Sounds
In San Marcos, the first weekend in December there is a little fair called the Sights and Sounds of Christmas. It is nothing fancy but its fun to go to. Especially when you have been stuck in the house all day with an industrial fan going (see post below). There is a stable area which I think is the best part of the fair (mostly because it is the one free thing you can do) and I really like animals. Here are some pictures of Torin seeing donkeys, camels, and goats for the first time. And hay.

Fun was had by all....until it became busy and if you know me well-that's when I bail or start punching people (Christine!).
Yea Christmas time!
How is that for an update Corrine? ;oP

Flooded
Wednesday evening I was preparing to feed Torin and I noticed that I was standing in something wet. It was not dog pee (thankfully). It was not our air conditioner. It was not our washing machine. I could not figure it out. And of course it was 6:30pm so the office was closed. As the night went on, here is how the wet spot grew.

The parts that are obviously wet are soaked. Step on it and water squirts everywhere.

This is the last picture I took before I went to bed. The spots on the outside are just the beginning. In the morning the entire floor was soaked! The maintenance guy came and checked on everything and could not find the leak. He went next door and found that the leak was coming from our neighbor's pipe but there was no water in their unit. So some carpet guys came yesterday and sucked up all the water and left one of those industrial fans to dry out the carpet. They said to leave it on for 24 hours. By 20 hours I was losing my mind! Now it is off and quiet. But the carpet stinks...which means I need to steam clean the carpets ASAP!!!!!!!
