Reconnected!
Finally...
I have the internet again and I feel like I am back in the real (or should I say cyber) world!
To update those who don't already know: Chris and I bought a house at the end of September. We moved in around October 5 or 6...I don't really remember that far back. We also bought a really ugly house. It is livable but ugly. We got a good price on it and are now working to beautify it. The house was built in 1977 and looks like it still. And I also think that the carpet is original. Think about that....eeeeewwww. Here are a handful of pictures of the before house. It really is hard to get good pictures of what it really looks like.

Anyway, the carpet was the first thing that came out after we signed the closing papers. Look at 30 years of accumulated dirt and dust in the air.

Besides baseboards, this is Torin's room. New carpet and paint. Eventually new doors too but that will be a while. I really liked the way it came out.

The guys were trying to pull the railing out and I was standing around twiddling my thumbs so I thought I would help. This is me helping. I never did get too close to where they were working...apparently I just got in the way.

Master bedroom. It looks small from this angle but it really is a good size. New paint and carpet. In this picture the painting isn't complete yet. We put vertical stripes on the wall behind the headboard. And we finally got to put together our king sized bed! We bought the frame last December but did not have a room big enough to put it in...until now. I love my bed!!
I will post more pictures as projects get complete but things are going really slow right now. It is really hard for me to have an entire day where I feel good enough to actually do a project. I have no energy and throw up most days. What do you expect when you are pregnant? SURPRISE!!
