Fashion

I am slowly making my way into grown up fashion. I have been dragging my feet for a long time, loving my flip-flop and t-shirt wardrobe. There comes a time in everyone's life when it is appropriate to let childish things go...

...and blah blah blah.

I never realized how some grown up things can make one feel so...grown up. Anyway, these are two purchases I've made recently that I am super proud of.

JJ hated my old purse. I bought it a couple years ago for about $8 at Target. I'll have to admit, it was very casual and junior high-ish. So here is the new purse:It is a Fossil bag that I got a great deal on at eBay. Love. Love. Love.

When I saw these shoes at the store, there was no denying it. I had to own these. I told JJ I was "required" to own them. He was sweet enough to let me purchase them. He gave up a few things so that we had enough money in the budget for me to splurge a little. What a sweet man. And check out these sweet babies:
Hot. Right? I know!
I wore these to church on Sunday with a pencil skirt. Let me tell you how a-MAZ-ing I looked. I know everyone, men and women, were drooling equally. I received so many compliments. Sorry that picture is a little out of focus. It is hard to take pictures of your own feet from this angle.

I'll fill you in as I continue to update my wardrobe into a grown-up one.

Peace!

Cousins

Christine and her family came to visit in July. These are some pictures of the kids playing in my dad's backyard.
Hailey, Andrew and GavinTorin digging around dad's foot.
Me and Paisley. I know, awesome self-portrait.
Oops. Meant to rotate this picture. Paisley just chillin'.
Gavin helping Paisley swing.
It's always nice to let the kids run around in my dad's backyard. It is huge with lots of dirt to play in. A bath is required whenever we leave.

Zoorassic Park

At the Zoo right now there are dinosaurs! Naturally, the boys had to go to see them. I thought that they were just going to be statues but they actually moved and roared! It was really cool. One of them even spit out water on people passing by. We also looked at the 'normal' zoo animals.

Giraffes are my favorite animals.
Hannah with her son Sammie and Torin and Gavin looking at the tigers.
As we were walking around the zoo, I looked back to see why Gavin was raking so long and this is what I saw. That kid is so stinking skinny!
Not sure what is in this case.
Hannah's other son, Dennison, with Torin and Gavin. Still not sure what is in this case...
A DINOSAUR!!!

Care for a ride?
Careful...

This T-Rex was so loud when it roared. It scared the boys and they wouldn't get near the head so that I could take a picture.
Looking forward to going back to the zoo when it starts cooling down. Bring on the fall!

Wheeler Farm

JJ and I took the kids to Wheeler Farm to run around and feed the ducks. They were really excited to go see all the animals.

Checking out the goats.
Petting the goats.
Giving the goats a piece of grass.
Trying to feed the ducks but the geese has other ideas.

Yum!

Play Group

Every Thursday morning the kids and I go to a park for play group. It has been great for the kids to make friends (and me too).
I don't really have much to say today so here are some pictures.

Paisley's Blessing

Today was Paisley's blessing...hence the title of the post. It was so nice to have friends and family there to support our family. I wish I had been able to get pictures with everyone that had come but it just didn't work out that way.
I did get a few pictures with part of my family after we had some lunch.Craig, Mom, Steven holding Norah, Me holding Paisley, JJ, Gavin and Torin at the bottom

Here are some of the pictures I think are funny.
Craig's head is cut off, Mom is laughing, Gavin has Paisley's dress as a hat and Torin is throwing a temper tantrum.
And then there is JJ...

Hospital Stay

So, I know that it has taken me a long time to post more pictures...

...who would have thought that having 3 kids under 4 years old would keep me busy?!

So the pictures are not in any order. Enjoy!
Ninja baby. She is Asian ya know...
Free cookies in the kitchen on our floor. I think JJ took home more than 50 packages.

Our steak dinner for two.

Hope you liked them!

I just uploaded a bunch of pictures so when I get time I'll let you know what we have been up to.
