Torin's Day

Unfortunately, I did not prepare very well and did not charge the camera and it died after a few pictures.  My bad.  But his party went well.  It was pirate themed.  We had a scavenger hunt for pirate tokens to earn a party hat.  We ate and opened presents.  Then the kids had to follow the treasure map to find the buried treasure chest (that JJ made) for the party bags.

Paisley's Day

Here are some pictures of Paisley's birthday dinner.  I know it's the ugliest cake ever but I don't care.  It tasted good.

Lover her!  Here are a couple pics of the boys...

You Are So Creative!

Really, I am not.  All my good ideas come from Pinterest.  Which is why they made that site in the first place, right?
Anywho, I saw this pin for homemade gak.  I know you remember that stuff.  The recipe looked really easy so I thought that I would try it out.  The boys stood nest to me as I mixed all the ingredients and were just mesmerized.  I split the gak in half and left them play.  45 minutes later they are still at it.

One Year Already

Sometimes I cannot believe how fast time moves!  It has been a whole year since Paisley came into our lives.  Sometimes you don't realize what is missing in your life until it shows up.  I can't believe what a blessing and joy she has been.  I love watching her grow and learn.  She is the most beautiful little girl and I cannot believe she is mine.  Thank you JJ for giving her to me and making our family complete.  I love you, Paisley!

 Ninja baby!

 Love her troll hair!

When Does It Stop?

My life changed, irreparably, three years ago.  As time goes on, I feel like things are going back to normal.  That I am going back to normal.
And then it happens...
I am lazily scrolling through facebook, seeing what the few people I have kept as friends are doing and I see it.
A picture.
Of him.
With her.
My stomach turns.  I start to feel very angry and then it turns into a very deep hurt.  Lingering feelings of betrayal.  It messes with my head and then messes with my day.
I have a new life.  In a new state.  New friends.  I have a new husband.  With him, I have a beautiful baby girl.  New everything.
So I sit wondering, when does it stop?  When can an unexpected picture not unearth such feelings?  When will it be just a picture?

Going to the Zoo

We went to the zoo for one of our playgroups.  It was in March, I think, and it was still a little chilly but then warmed up later.  The kids always enjoy going to see the animals.  Good thing we have a pass!

 Train ride!

Sledding In March

We did not get a lot of snow this year so when it snowed enough, we went to my dad's so that we could go sledding.  Here are the pictures in no particular order.

Torin got really into sledding this year.  It is so fun to watch him love it even more each year.  He much prefers to go down by himself now.
Climbing back to the top.
Lucy chasing Torin down the hill.  She would often take his hat and run away with it.
Gavin going by himself.  Not so much a fan of that yet.
 Still, all smiles though.
Torin kept asking if we would carry his sled to the top for him.  If you want the fun, you gotta put in the work!
A rare picture of me.  Usually I am behind the the camera!

The boys made a snowman with dad and then they had a snowball fight.  Gavin loved throwing the snowballs!  At dad!

Our hillbilly snowman!  His rock teeth kept falling out.
JJ making some part of the snowman.

Good times!
