Halloween

Torin was a clown for Halloween again. My mom made this costume last year for Andrew (Torin's cousin) and it fit Torin so there-you-go. I thought he was pretty dang cute.

On our way to the festivities. We had three activities planned.
We went to our ward's trunk-or-treat. Torin was really scared of this guy. He would not even let him put candy in his bucket.

Finished with the t-o-t.We went to a carnival that Chris's parent's church hosted. The petting zoo was the only thing that Torin was interested in except for dancing to the music over the loud speaker.

Don't know why this picture is sideways.
Finally, we went trick or treating down our street. When I say down our street I mean about 7 houses down and the back on the other side. Torin was pretty tired.
Chris and I ended up having candy to munch on for a few days thanks to Torin. Yes, he got to have a few pieces on Halloween-but that was it. He really likes 3 Musketeers.

Pumpkin Patch

A few days before Halloween, we took Torin to a pumpkin patch out in the country. It had a petting zoo, a hay ride and you got to pick your own pumpkin at the end. I thought it was a lot of fun even though it was freezing!Entrance.Petting zoo.

Waco Wild West

The last weekend in September there is a bike race in Waco. For those of you who have been reading my blog, you might remember me mentioning it last year. There was one difference in the race this year-I was pregnant (10 weeks). Usually, I would ride with my mom and do the 50 mile race, but this year I felt that I would not be able to handle it with all the prego symptoms. So I brought Christine with me and we rode in the 25 mile race while mom did the 50 on her own. Oh, by the way, on the way to the race is when Christine informed me she was pregnant too-although I already knew. You can't lie to me Christine!!!!

Before the race. Here is mom leaving the pregos.
Christine and I after we finished. It was actually a really nice scenic ride we went on.

Torin

Its been a while since I wrote about how cute Torin is. Well, he is so cute. Here are some photo updates of the last couple months. (I know its been a long time, but I haven't been feeling good with all the puking and pregnancy stuff.)
These first couple of pictures are from when I went to visit my mom in September. He was helping her wash the car.Torin likes to set up his chair in front of Jasmine's crate so she can't escape.Torin really loves to wear my goggles. Don't know why...

Playing. Look at that face!
With daddy at the hardware store-doing manly things.
Look how cute he is! I love my little man!

Projects being completed

As Chris's "vacation" comes to an end, some of our projects are actually being completed. First is the wall in the front entry. When we moved in it had this hideous '70s style wallpaper. This week, I stripped the wallpaper, primed and textured the wall. It now looks like a decent, up-to-date wall. This first picture was taken right after I finished the texture. The lighter areas are where it is starting to dry. Yes, it is blue. We had the texture tinted to the color we were planning on painting--you know, take out an extra step.
This is the wall after it has mostly dried.
Chris finally putting up the chandelier that I bought last weekend. You don't even want to see what it replaced.
And this is a picture of how I got the flooring home when Christine and I went to purchase the remaining amount that was needed. That is 14 boxes in the back seat of my car.
Yea for getting things done!!

Vacation?

Chris had several days of vacation that he needed to use before the end of the year and the only time he could use them was this week. He had the entire week off- so what better to do than to lay flooring in our house? Let me tell you, We have been doing it for the last four days and I am exhausted. My body is tired and my knees are killing me. However, I am glad to finally be getting this done. It seems like we have been living in a garage since October.

Before anything went on the floor.
First few boards.

Torin "helping".

Hallway.
I just have to say that I will be glad when it is done. Hopefully by the end of today...
