Caribbean

My best friend, Chelsia, and I went on a cruise last week to the Caribbean. We set out from Miami and went to the Cayman Islands, Honduras, Belize and Cozumel before heading back to Miami. I got back late Sunday night. It was the first time since having kids that I have been on my own for a whole week. It was a much needed break and now I feel ready to get back to real life.
I took so many pictures and I don't want to put them all up so I am only doing a handful. If you want to see more, leave me a comment I can put up more.

This is a picture of me and Chelsia on the last night of the cruise. We are almost at Miami at this point.

This is a private beach that we went to after we finished snorkeling in Belize. It was so nice to be at a non-crowded beach. The other beaches we went to were public and a lot more crowded. It was nice for it to be quiet for a while. This is me and Chelsia about to go snorkeling. We went once in Belize and once in Cozumel. This one is from Belize. We stopped along the Great Barrier Reef and snorkeled in the middle of the ocean. And I am pretty sure we saw a little tornado in the distance.

Here we are at Tabyana Beach in Isle Roatan, Honduras. It was absolutely beautiful. Like the picture you have on your desktop on the computer. White beaches, clear waters, umbrellas and such. Amazing. I bought a handmade hammock from here. I am excited to put it up.

After the safety demonstration before we set sail, Chelsia and I thought we had better try on our life vests to make sure we knew how to put them on right. We are just goofy together. Something that I love about our friendship.
I am glad that I got the opportunity to go and am very grateful to the people that helped make it possible. This is a shout out to my amazing husband who took care of the kids while they were sick so I could have a much needed vacation. Also to my sister-in-law who watched the kids during the day while JJ was at work. You guys have no idea how grateful I am! Thank you so much!!

Because I Love It!

I just wanted to share this picture because, I mean, look at him!So cute!

No Sleeping On The Job!

One morning when Gavin went down for a nap, I thought it would be a good idea for me to lay down as well. I was pretty tired. I put a movie on for Torin and then closed my eyes.

When I awoke, this is what I found...
Sometimes I think he is a little too observant and I leave my nail polish too easily accessible.

No More Drama

It feels so good
When you let go
Of all the drama in your life
Now you're free from all the pain
Free from all the games
Free from all the stress
So find your happiness

I don’t know
Only God knows where the story ends for me
But I know where the story begins
It’s up to us to choose
Whether we win or lose
And I choose to win

Willard Bay

This last Saturday we spent the day at Willard Bay. It is just north of Ogden. I was really excited to take the kids on their first boating trip.

Here we are getting ready to do our first family tube ride. I know it's hard to see but Gavin is in there too! He is sitting on JJ's lap.
JJ and Gavin hanging out on the beach. Gavin was not too sure about the sand and water. He preferred to be held the whole time.I took Torin on his first tube ride. He got sprayed in the face from the boat which scared him at first but after we were going for a while he had a lot of fun.JJ hanging with the kids after all the boat riding. Gavin was almost asleep until JJ yelled "Lauren! I think he is almost asleep!!" Gavin wasn't tired after that. The kids couldn't even stay awake to get out of the parking lot. They were so tired. You know that is a good family outing!
We were all really tired but had such a great time! Can't wait till next weekend!!

This is Torin on his tube ride.

The New Krans

Ok...I know it's been almost a month since it happened....BUT....for those of you who don't know....I got married on June 2!!

Crazy right? Don't feel bad if you didn't know or didn't get an invite. No one did. I barely knew!

How could I barely know you ask? Well, it kinda happened like this...

JJ came home from work on June 1st and asked me if I wanted to get married on Thursday. I sat there for a moment and then replied "Why not today?" So we called the courthouse to see if there were any openings but, alas, there were none. "We have an opening at 3pm tomorrow..." "Book it! We will be there!" So we went to the courthouse less than 24 hours later and got married.

What? You didn't know I was dating anyone? Huh...

I guess I have been keeping things a little more private. Well, let me tell you a little bit about my husband: Jonathan Krans

We met at a soccer game. We both joined this soccer group that meets 2-3 times a week. There was just something about me, I guess. He worked hard to get me to go out with him. Let me tell you, I didn't make it easy for him! To tell you the truth...I had this HUGE crush on someone that I previously named Cute Soccer Guy. Obviously, that did not work out. Thank goodness!! It took about me about 5 months to finally go out with him. And then about 4 months to date only him.

JJ was born in South Korea and was adopted when he was 5 months old. He has lived in Utah the rest of the time. He is super athletic, which is something about him that I love. I have yet to see him not be good at something. He sings. He is really funny and we have really similar senses of humor--although he is wittier than I am. He knows how to cook a good hamburger. He is thoughtful and sweet.

He is such a wonderful man! He has such a good heart and so caring. One of the things that I love about him is that he loves my kids. And they love him. He is such a great dad to them. He works hard to take care of us. He loves me with all his heart and would do anything for me. I am really lucky that someone like him came into my life. I couldn't be happier and am so glad that we found each other!

This is on our wedding day. Our family is now complete.

I love him. I am happy.
