The New Krans

Ok...I know it's been almost a month since it happened....BUT....for those of you who don't know....I got married on June 2!!

Crazy right? Don't feel bad if you didn't know or didn't get an invite. No one did. I barely knew!

How could I barely know you ask? Well, it kinda happened like this...

JJ came home from work on June 1st and asked me if I wanted to get married on Thursday. I sat there for a moment and then replied "Why not today?" So we called the courthouse to see if there were any openings but, alas, there were none. "We have an opening at 3pm tomorrow..." "Book it! We will be there!" So we went to the courthouse less than 24 hours later and got married.

What? You didn't know I was dating anyone? Huh...

I guess I have been keeping things a little more private. Well, let me tell you a little bit about my husband: Jonathan Krans

We met at a soccer game. We both joined this soccer group that meets 2-3 times a week. There was just something about me, I guess. He worked hard to get me to go out with him. Let me tell you, I didn't make it easy for him! To tell you the truth...I had this HUGE crush on someone that I previously named Cute Soccer Guy. Obviously, that did not work out. Thank goodness!! It took about me about 5 months to finally go out with him. And then about 4 months to date only him.

JJ was born in South Korea and was adopted when he was 5 months old. He has lived in Utah the rest of the time. He is super athletic, which is something about him that I love. I have yet to see him not be good at something. He sings. He is really funny and we have really similar senses of humor--although he is wittier than I am. He knows how to cook a good hamburger. He is thoughtful and sweet.

He is such a wonderful man! He has such a good heart and so caring. One of the things that I love about him is that he loves my kids. And they love him. He is such a great dad to them. He works hard to take care of us. He loves me with all his heart and would do anything for me. I am really lucky that someone like him came into my life. I couldn't be happier and am so glad that we found each other!

This is on our wedding day. Our family is now complete.

I love him. I am happy.

Happy Father's Day

We spent the afternoon at my dad's house for Father's Day. They have been doing a lot of construction in the backyard and Torin got to take a ride. He had a great time! What an awesome Papa!!
Happy Father's Day!

And I Thought This Was A Good Use Of My Time

When I was in Texas in April, the bluebonnets were just beginning to bloom and it was a sight to see. They were so beautiful! Christine and I thought it was a great opportunity to get some cute pictures of our kids. We went to a field across from Christine's neighborhood and made an attempt at the quintessential Texas Bluebonnet Picture...
Here is what I got:

DA DA DAAAAAAAAA.......

Enough suspense for ya?

For the life of me, I could not get either of the boys to look at me. The flowers and the bees were just WAY too fascinating! I took only a couple more lousy shots and then gave up. Oh well. They are kinda funny though.

Now I know why my dad got so frustrated trying to take pictures of us as kids....

In A Pickle

I'm sitting here with the kids as they eat lunch and I can't help but laugh. Torin is making his cucumber slices dance and then stuffs them in his mouth.

He looks like a chipmunk.

Love him!

Put One Foot In Front Of The Other...

And soon you'll be walking 'cross the floor
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you'll be walking out the door

Gavin is a pro at crawling but he just hasn't quite decided that walking is worth the trouble. He takes a few steps every now and then but he definitely in no rush to change his mode of transportation. I did get a video of some of his first steps...

Bonus points if you know where the opening song is from!

"Mommy...what are you doing?"

Torin has turned 3! Where does the time go? I mean, really! He just just born!

Because I was so lame with Gavin's birthday cake I knew I had to do something for Torin. The question was "what"? He has gotten really into trains so I thought I would try to replicate one. I didn't have any special pans or directions-just a picture. So...please don't judge me too harshly. :) I thought it came out pretty well.
Now Torin always calls the wheels on his toy train "cookies". I keep telling him that they are not cookies but, in fact, wheels. Nonetheless, they are forever cookies to him. It is so funny.

He really is 3!
Can I eat it yet? No, Torin. Blow out the candle first.
Here it goes!
Torin is the best. He is so funny. Everyday he talks more and more and lets his personality out. He has really come into being a big brother. He is a happy kid and incredibly resilient. I love him so much and can't believe he wasn't always a part of my life.

I knew I was forgeting something...

That's right....I said I would start posting again....

OK. So here it is....

Gavin turns 1!!!!!!

And, yes, I know that I am super lame for getting him a store bought cake. In my defense, we had just come back from spending two weeks in Texas and I wasn't really prepared. It's still cute though, right?
Gavin found the candle to be the best part of the cake.
Gavin got one of those annoying toys that always plays music. Always. What was I thinking?
But the kids seem to really enjoy it.

I don't care what all the other mothers say out there...Gavin is and will always be the cutest boy there ever was. With Torin as a close second. I love my Gavin!
