Whoa!

This morning Torin was hanging out with me in the bathroom as I was getting ready for church and he says to me, "potty". So I took off his diaper and put him on the toilet.
We have not been working on potty training at all because I did not think that he was ready yet. But since his older cousins were here a couple weeks ago and they use the potty, he has shown an interest so I put him on whenever he asks. He has yet to do anything mostly because I think that he is just mimicking his cousins.

But today he actually peed! It was so exciting-especially because I am not even trying to train him yet! He is becoming such a big boy!

Isn't it Summer?

I'm not quite sure, but I am under the impression that it is still summer. At home, in Texas, I am sure that the temperature is still around 100 degrees. Today, in Salt Lake, the high got up to 69 degrees! This is what is considered winter weather in Texas! It's August! It is the hottest month in Texas! This is absurd!! Pleasant, but absurd! So I dressed the kids in their winter clothes. I guess since we live in SLC now, I will have to buy them some real thick winter clothes.
We spent the afternoon outside and it was chilly! Here are the kids "bundled up".

Sorry

I apologize for not updating in so long. My hands have been full with unpacking and the boys and such. It has taken a long time (obviously) to get my camera stuff loaded onto the computer and have the time to be able to update. I appreciate your patience and most of all your concern and friendship. Thank you all for the support that you have given in this transition period in my life. Life would not be the same without my friends.

Brothers

I was worried that Torin would have a hard time adjusting to having a younger sibling but I have been very blessed in that Torin has come to accept Gavin as the new family "pet". He always wants to know where the baby is and says "Don't cry" when Gavin is upset. I love my boys.

Gavin Exploring the World

Gavin turned 3 months old on the 20th and I thought that I would show you pictures of what he has been up to.
Here he is hanging out with Papa.

His first smiles.
Chillin' on the coffee table.Spending quality time with Papa and Lucy (the dog).
I can't believe that he is already 3 months old and at the same time that he is only 3 months old. The time seems to fly by but he has always been part of the family. He is my little miracle baby.

Gavin's First Haircut

Gavin had a lot of hair when he was born and most did not fall out. So at 2 1/2 months I decided that he needed a haircut.
These are the before pictures:

These are the after pictures:

Thanks Mimi!

Before we left Texas, Mimi, a friend from church took some portraits of the kids for me. They turned out so good! I am so grateful for these pictures. I love my kids.
